My Thoughts on International Women’s Day!

My first thought is; Why isn’t #InternationalWomensDay a national holiday? Why isn’t it taken more seriously? Such as Mother’s Day. Women and girls really “hold up the world”.Men are much stronger in muscle and mass but they are no match for Natural Childbirth. When i hear men complaining about how hard they have it on their jobs i just snicker.Try being a stay at home mom with a colicky newborn or two. Sometimes we moms forget to eat or drink water. Forget about taking a bath / shower. We have to somehow load the washer, run the vacuum, and open a can of “something”for dinner if at all.And did i mention being Sleep deprived.

This isn’t about bashing men. I’m just pointing out some of what women deal with. It isn’t easy but we get most things done somehow. International Women’s Day should be discussed, celebrated, and taken seriously. STOP!paying lip service to this day and all the women around the world. To my mother, sister, grandmother, aunts, cousins, and my Little Diva and all the women and girls that i don’t even know《HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’s DAY 》

TRYING TO FIND LOVE ON THE INTERNET

Why would any sane man or woman try to find love on internet sites? I’m not saying that it’s impossible but i wouldn’t put too much faith in it. You have all kinds of people on the internet. Fakes, scammers, pedophiles, and those in between. If you do meet a “nice”lady/man who says they are who their profile says they are. Too big a risk i think. But if you are the kind of person who believes they can find true love then be my guest.

SELMA REMEMBERED :50 YEARS LATER

As i sit here watching CNN and waiting on President Barack Obama to speak i don’t really know how to feel.Let me explain :I wasn’t born durning that horrible period in our nation’s history. My grandparents took part in the demostration.”Big Mama”and “Papa”marched across The EDMUND PETTUS BRIDGE.They endured the brutal beatings among other injustices.
My parents were teenagers durning that time but they watched things from the sidelines. My mother’s parents marched because they didn’t want their 5 children to have to.My grandparents on my father’s side were in Cleveland, Ohio.It was no picnic for them.
They told me that Ohio was just as racist as Alabama. Even though me and my daughter will probably never have to experience this kind of racism ,injustice, and suffering i feel like i did march on that BLOODY SUNDAY IN SELMA.Thzt is why i will never forget it!
